Cambridge SupTech Lab’s Co-Head, Simone di Castri attended and spoke at the Inter-American Development Bank FintechLAC in New York City on June 4-6th. The conference revolved around CBCD, digital assets, suptech, and the digital transformation of finance in the region.
Di Castri, share the work the Cambridge SupTech Lab is currently doing and insights from the State of SupTech Report 2022. The co-head highlighted the projects that Bernardita Piedrabuena Keymer and Denise G. are doing for the Comisión para el Mercado Financiero (CMF) and Bank for International Settlements – BIS during their panel.
The conference showcased the extraordinary transformation in the culture and approach of supervisory agencies. The suptech tools they are deploying empowering financial authorities to make data-driven decisions, fostering collaboration, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of financial supervision can be really transformative for the financial sector. While there is still room for improvement a progress toward markets soundness, stability, integrity, fairness and transparency is already noticeable.
