Cambridge, UK – 25 November 2024 – The Cambridge SupTech Lab, part of the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance, Cambridge Judge Business School, in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (content partner), will be hosting the largest gathering of leading experts in financial supervision and technology. The annual event, held both virtually and in person, brings together over 800 participants from more than 60 countries, to share insights, innovations, collaborations and case studies that explore how human and technological capabilities can further advance financial supervision. Simone di Castri, co-Founder and co-Director of the Cambridge SupTech Lab, said, “We stand at a pivotal moment in financial supervision—a moment when technology is reshaping not just the tools of supervision but also the very philosophy that underpins how we safeguard financial systems. With visionary leadership, global collaboration, and a commitment to innovation, we can ensure that supervisory technology (suptech) is not merely an upgrade; it is a paradigm shift that will transform financial sectors.”

“As the global financial landscape grows more complex, the role of technology in enhancing supervision is not just beneficial but essential,” said Drew Propson, Head of Technology and Innovation in Financial Services, World Economic Forum. “Suptech and regtech innovations provide critical tools to streamline regulatory compliance and bolster financial stability. This event underscores the importance of collaboration between public and private sectors to accelerate the development and scaling of these solutions, ensuring a more resilient and secure financial system.”
